Quit Yer Whinin

Jim, I'm breaking your streak of four consecutive posts. You'll have to start another one.

Let's talk about the Redskins some more. Aren't sports fans the most over-reactive, over-analytical fickleheads ever? How many Redskins fans did you hear groaning that the season was over after our first two games? All of them. Everywhere you went you heard "Brunell is done" and "Al Saunders is an overpaid chump" and "Jim Thompson eats Lemonheads", etc. Well now what are you hearing after that scorching "Moss-fensive" performance against the Jags? "Pick up Brunell on your fantasy team" and "Saunders hasn't even cracked page 200 of his 700 page playbook, watch out!" and "Jim Thompson eats Charleston Chews".

I mean, just let the season progress and don't over-react. When the Redskins become mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, you can then punch an aquarium, but until then just enjoy the games and cheer with all your might. This, of course, does not apply to Raiders fans. Your season is officially over. Thanks for playing.

By the way, I predicted back in July that the Skins would be 2-2 at this point. Just sayin.

SKINS II - Who let the Hogs out? (Who, Who)

Hello Friends!

It's been a week and half since my last post, and the Skins have won their last 2 games, evening their record to 2-2. Last night's overtime win vs Jacksonville is a significant win for the skins as you all know.

I watched both of these games, which is proving that when Jim watches the Skins, the skins win. Its that simple. The offense has looked awesome the past 2 games, and having Clinton Portis backs makes such a huge difference. We have so many weapons, so many ways to hurt you, its insane. I really like Chris Cooley too. He's totally good.

The Ravens also won their last 2 games, improving their record to 4-0 on the season. My question is, "How long can they keep this up?" McNair has looked OK (honestly, i have no clue how he's looked as i haven't watched any of their games). They beat San Diego, which is an impressive win too. Aaron asked me to root for the Ravens this year, but I don't even think they are my favorite team in their division, let alone the whole NFL. I like the Skins. I like Sean Taylor.

In Other Local Sports News....Appearantly, the Entire Baltimore Orioles team in on the juice...If this were true, how come they can't finish better than 4th place?
