It's my job to handle life & death situations....& I'm very good at it.
I thought this quote from the upcoming summer blockbuster "Snakes on a Plane" could be used to describe the current state of the New York Knicks. Last week, James Dolan, the owner of the Knicks, fired head coach Larry Brown and replaced him with team GM, Isaiah Thomas. The Knicks are pretty much the laughing-stock of the NBA right now, owning both the league's highest payroll, and one of the league's worst records. Thomas is the man who put this team together, and now he will be in charge of coaching the team.
Dolan is now saying that Zeke will have 1 year to turn the team around. Talk about pressure. The pressure is compounded by the fact that Thomas has been so bad, running the Knicks, Raptors, and the entire Continental Basketball Association into the ground, that he will likely never work in team management again. Pressure...
The NBA Draft is this Wednesday night...you better pray that Josh Boone turns into the second coming of Karl Malone.
So it's 'do or die' for Zeke Thomas, and I couldn't be happier. My one fear is that Isaiah actually does a good job, and then we all have to admit how smart he is. I would really hate that. It's much more fun to think that he's an idiot, and that I could do a better job than him.

I'm glad you compared this to Snakes on a Plane. I think this whole Isaiah Thomas realm with the Knicks is like a bad movie script. Some possible names are:
"Crazy Zeke"
"Aches in the Lane"
"The Journey to the Center of the Worst Team in History"
"Fight Club 2"
"Forrest Gump 2"
What else you got?
"'Do or Die': The Isaiah Thomas"
"How Zeke Thomas Destroyed the Knicks"
"Death to Smoochy 2"
"I'm Going to Beat Up Bill Simmons if I Ever Meet Him on the Street"
"Are We There Yet 2"
